I have many relationships. As do we all. I am daughter, a sister, granddaughter, cousin, wife, friend, daughter in law, and most importantly in my opinion a mother.
But within all these there are great moments and some not so great moments.
I have realized through all my years of life (feels like 50) that there will be people that will be the same person no matter what. No matter how much time is between the times you see each other or talk. And there will be people that you thought would be ones you could always depend on and it turns out they don't care as much for you as you do them and you can see them distancing themselves.
What hurts me and what has me typing this is the people we feel are important to be in our children's lives hurt and disrespect them when the child can't defend themselves. You try to give them numerous chances to be the great person you know them to be. Yet they digress more. Now I have to abandon all hope for them and just wish it won't be for forever. But this is what must be done because our children come first.
